We’ve not only revamped how SalesRater looks, we’ve also made it easier to reach the most common functions. We’ve added a new home screen with lighter colors, and placed more information at your fingertips. You can now swipe to get to other functions quickly.
Get a Review from EVERY Customer Using the New Simple Reviews Function
Ever have a customer in a hurry, but still want to get a review? When you click the New Review icon, you’ll notice there are two tabs at the top of the screen. The default tab is Photo Review. This is the review you’ve already been creating, publishing and sharing in SalesRater for some time now. The new “Simple Reviews” function is an easy way to generate reviews in Google, Facebook, Yelp, DealerRater, and many other third-party review networks. Simple Reviews is perfect for customers who are either out of time, or don’t wish to have their photo taken. What’s important is that you get a review from each and every customer possible. Click the Simple Review tab. Enter your customer’s name and mobile phone number and click the Send Text Message button. That’s it. Your customer will receive an SMS message with a photo of your dealership, asking them to leave you a review. Customers who click 1, 2 or 3 stars will be taken to a private feedback form where they can voice their concerns without leaving a bad online review. Customers who click 4 or 5 stars are presented with icons that link directly to your dealership’s review network pages where they can leave you a great review.
Keep in mind, Simple Reviews cannot be shared in social media like a photo review can, since they are reviews hosted in third-party networks. However, they are very beneficial for building a positive online reputation.

Shorter Photo Customer Review Flow
Many of you asked us to shorten the photo review process, and we listened. When creating a photo customer review, you’ll notice that we’ve reduced the number of questions for the customer, and made the entire process faster and easier to use. We’ve also added a new preview screen that lets you see your review photo, customer comments, star rating and more, before you publish it to your SalesRater website.
Call and Message Your Team (Inside the Toolkit!)
Want to let your sales manager know you’ve just sold a vehicle? How about invite someone to lunch? Click the Message Team icon from your home screen to display a list of everyone in your organization who uses the SalesRater toolkit. Click the phone icon to call someone. Or, click the message icon next to one or more users, click the next button top right, type a message and click send. Each person you’ve selected will receive an SMS text with your message. Managers can use this for announcing spiffs, daily specials, and more.
History
The History area allows you to easily see all of your previous SalesRater activity in one place. This includes photo reviews, simple reviews, and posts.
Drafts
Any time you begin a photo review or post and don’t finish it, Drafts is where you’ll find it. Click the Drafts icon to see a list of unfinished reviews and posts. Use this screen to easily delete drafts you no longer want.
Edit Profile Shortcut
On most every screen except the home screen, you’ll notice a gear icon top right. Click this icon any time you need to make changes to your profile.
Competitions System
Your management now has the ability to easily set-up competitions. A competition measures each person’s photo reviews and post activity within a predetermined date range. Each review, post, share, view, Like and more, is tracked, earning you points for all of your activity. The winner is the one who has the most points at the end of the competition.
Note: Your managers will decide whether or not you’ll use Competitions, along with any prizes that might be awarded.
Leaderboard Area
Click the Leaderboard icon to view your total marketing value, along with how it stacks-up against your teammates.
My Stats Area
Inside the Leaderboard area, you’ll notice there are three tabs at the top of the screen. Click the My Stats tab to view a breakdown of how your Marketing Value is determined. Each impression, lead, referral, post, review, social interaction, and website view you generate, is assessed a value that contributes to your total marketing value contribution.
New Achievements Area
The third tab inside the Leaderboard area is the Achievements tab. Achievements tallies a running count of everything you’ve achieved in SalesRater since day one. Think of Achievements as a snapshot of all your SalesRater activity.
Manager / Administrator – Manage Most Everything Inside the Toolkit
Now, managers or administrators can login to the SalesRater toolkit to manage existing reviews, add or edit other users, create competitions, and access new reporting features. Salespeople can be assigned as a Manager within the VassDP.net Administration area.
Login w/ Password Recovery
You can now login to SalesRater using either your phone number or email address, along with your password. If you forget your password, click the Forgot your password link, enter your email address or mobile phone number, and click the Send a Link button. A link will be sent to you via email and SMS, allowing you to quickly change your password and login. Make logging-in even faster, by authorizing your Google or Facebook account. Simply visit the Edit Profile area and select either Google or Facebook, and then authorize the account. The next time you visit the SalesRater login screen, simply click the button for the account you authorized, and you’ll be logged-in instantly.
